僕達のつくったものを
依頼主はほぼ毎日、ほぼ一生使い続ける
理詰めでデザインするのだけれど、決断には勇気がいる。
それができて、本物の素材をつかって、丁寧につくれば、
『出来上がったときの美しさ』と『年月が築く美しさ』
を身にまとって、次の世代にも愛用される物となる。
『毎日使っているけどやっぱり良いなあ、好きだなあ』
と、20年後も思える存在をつくりたい。
自分達よりもはるか年長の百年育った木材を、
愛し、恐れ、敬意を表しつつ悩みながら、
ものづくり道は続く。
